POST OPERATIVE PALATOPLASTY FEEDING GUIDELINES: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Introduction: Post operative palatoplasty is one of the important things, because many complications that may occur post operatively such as bleeding, dehiscence, to velopharyngeal insufficiency. One factors determine postoperative wound healing feeding problem which still controversial, both in terms type food and time feeding. There are no guidelines for handling Indonesia. For this reason, author tries make a guides by compiling existing literature, be used reference making guidelines. Method: Data collected from journal search engine with limited keyword. All article were analysed authors find focused data presented table, then compared analysed. Result: nine articles met inclusion exclusion criteria obtained table compared. Conclusion: Guidelines surgery must made provide best results. Based on research suggest including: liquid diet after surgery, soft soon possible, solid month most importantly all diets have good nutrition Indonesia
